Monitor and Control Project Work

The Monitor and Control Project Work process is one of the ten processes grouped under the Monitoring and Controlling process group. In this process, the progress of the project is tracked, reviewed, and regulated in order to meet the performance objectives defined in the project management plan. Monitoring includes status reporting, progress measurement, and forecasting.

Inputs

The Monitor and Control Project Work process has four inputs:

  • Project management plan
  • Performance reports
  • Enterprise environmental factors
  • Organizational process assets

Outputs

The Monitor and Control Project Work process has three outputs:

  • Change requests
  • Project management plan updates
  • Project document updates
