The project manager is the person assigned by the performing organization to achieve the project objectives. He must posses the following characteristics to successfully complete the project:

- Personal: A project manager must have some required personal qualities that reflects in the behavior of a project manager while performing the project or related activity. Personal effectiveness encompasses the following:

- leadership
Leadership is key part of a person’s personal characteristics that refers to the ability to guide the project team while achieving project objectives and balancing the project constraints.
